I've long been a member and huge fan of the Artella Website, and their ecourses, ebooks and teleconferences for all sorts of creativity and self-awareness content. This month they are running another Dreamboard Teleconference. If I were located in America, I'd sign up - but the concept is not a new one to me anyway.
The Dreamboard link will take you to a section onsite which gives you some examples of other dreamboards. Dreamboards have been working to manifest the dreams and resolutions of Jill Badonsky, author of The Nine Modern Day Muses (and a Bodyguard) and Marney Makridakis, Artella Founder, and they give some fine examples of how these have been working for them for years now.
And it's one that I can prove works if you give it a shot, and is so up any scrapbooker's alley that I'm not sure why it's not been featured in our scrapbooking publications and taken the industry by storm, as another way of applying our skills.
In February 2006 I underwent an online class entitled "Woman Under Construction" which requested that we do a dream board - entitled Life Collage. The below was the result, done digitally (with some scans of magazine graphics etc).

Life is a Dog on the Beach
Well, it didn't work - not within that year, anyway. The thing with Life Collages like this, is that once you've put everything you want up there, it should form a constant visual reminder for your year. Instead, I shoved mine into the mire of digital storage. So how do you, I hear you asking, think that proves the things work?
Actually, I got mine out last October/November, and set it up as a desktop wallpaper for quite a while. And during that time period - where I was greeted with this Collage every day I sat down at home at the computer (ie every day, however briefly), and somehow, I've made this start working for me. Many of the things on that Board, created as wishes for 2006, are going to come true this year - forced by some decision points we as a family have had to take. Forced by me, really. Granted, there appears no sight to that lovely sea-side house - but perhaps if I keep down this path...
Given that this year has now dawned, and I tend to always feel like self-developing both myself, and my creativity at this time of the year, I think that for me, it's time to create a 2007 Dream Board to encompass some new dreams. And this time I'm going to stick it up as that desktop for much much longer.

Knickers! Pants! And other undergarments! Got into work, and during this lunchbreak discovered two things -
- I can get onto this new blog at Terapad (yay)
- I can't get onto 2 Peas in a Bucket anymore from work.
Did Kaboose change something? Normally that happens when something along the lines of a shopping site has changed, and my work firewalls protect me from all that senseless shopping. Not that I shop from America much anyway - I just want to read the forums.
Ack, frustrated.
